Not too strenuous or long, but packed with enough adventure and steep parts to keep it exciting for kids. The larger system, the Fairy Caves, is always a 40 minute guided tour and it was the highlight of the day - super fun. But if you show up early or on a less crowded day, you get a guided tour. I really did enjoy the cave tours a lot - King's Row is smaller and on a holiday weekend or anytime it's extra busy, it's self guided.

The zip line, the drop ride, overall - you have a lap belt and nothing more. The weirdest thing about the park's rides in general is the overall lack of anything to hold on to to make you feel more secure. The drop tower is definitely the most thrilling/scary - it all happens a lot faster than you would think. I enjoyed more the swings, the giant swing, and the cave tours. The proper roller coaster here - the cliffhanger - isn't much to shout about - it feels like it's about to fall apart any minute. I had a fantastic visit here! Buy tickets ahead of time - get there when they open (or before!) and ride the coaster and the zip line first, before the crowds arrive! The coaster isn't much fun when you're slowed down by all the people in front of you. If any of those things concern you, go with another company. Joe has been doing this for a long time, he’s tired of people and ready to retire. This was a time for our family to have fun and we spent a lot of money and Joe put a damper on having a great time with continuous rude comments. Half of the group did not have fun because of Joe. Safety is his concern, I understand his responsibility but I do think we can still have fun and be safe. Here are some things about Joe: He does not like children, he says rude comments and did so for the 2 hr ride, he lets you know he is the best river guide on the river and degrades the other companies, he accidentally hit my DIL with the oar, didn’t say sorry just said you signed the paper you can’t sue me and that’s all I care about. Joe on the other hand was very difficult from the beginning or right after we paid. She was skilled, knowledgeable and fun to be with. We were told we couldn't paddle, although we would have liked to. He gave off the vibe that he didn't like people and was just collecting his paycheck. He was very unapologetic, negative, sarcastic and sometimes just rude.
But still, it's exhausting always fighting the mood. In fact, he told some fisherman on the river that the only thing he’s caught all day was bad luck because of the people he had on his raft.
His first comment was, “why did I get stuck with all the kids?” (I don't think he likes kids). When I thought he was kidding, he was actually serious. He was quite sarcastic and difficult to read. Unfortunately, the mood turned bleak almost immediately after we got into our raft with Joe. Now, why not 5 stars? Well, I was really looking forward to having a fun adventure with my two girls (ages 4 and 6) rafting on the Colorado River.
